Strong brand, weak category: for a winery with an online shop (50 prompts, September 2026), ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude mentioned the business in 21 of 24 answers when asked about it by name. For general questions about recommendations from the region, it only appeared in 26 of 126 answers, a competitor in 59. The check revealed gaps that matter for these questions: thin product descriptions, a blog without real articles and empty event pages.
Wrong details and outdated sources: in the same check, Gemini gave a wrong address and wrong opening hours, and Claude quoted wrong shipping costs. An old shipping page from the previous shop was still being cited and returned a 404 error. A redirect and up-to-date information on the website are the first steps here.
The company’s own website as a source of errors: for a large organisation, only 20% of 450 AI answers were fully correct. Around a third of the errors could be traced back to its own website, for example through contradictory information on different pages.
